Sweet - Yotam Ottolenghi & Helen Goh I almost defy even the most steadfastly savoury person to not be tempted by some of the recipes in this new book by Yotam Ottolenghi and Helen Goh. The photography is some of the most luscious that I have seen in a cookery book. The cooking of Ottolenghi is most often associated with the savoury middle-Eastern inspired food but the windows of his shops have also always been piled high with glistening meringues. Helen Goh has worked as a pastry chef for Ottolenghi in a number of his restaurants and Yotam notes in his introductory words that it is with her cakes that she has "carved her inspired mark on our food". The recipes in this book span all many of sweet things: biscuits, cakes, puddings and confectionary. There are recipes for doughnuts with saffron custard cream, for a tropical fruit cake and for pineapple tartlets. The book also comes with a code to enable you to access the recipes online.
