Although urinary tract infection may be caused by any pathogen that colonizes the urinary tract, the most frequently isolated pathogens are bacterial uropathogens. A cross-sectional study design was used to collect 213 mid-stream urine samples among urinary tract infection patients. The overall prevalence of urinary tract infection in the area was 50.5%.
