For the first time, Laphroaig offers a look behind the scenes of their whisky-making process at their distillery on Islay by revealing the elements that make their whisky unique. This is the 3rd release from the elements series and is a real triumph, our favourite release from the series so far. It is made in small batches, and what makes it unique is that its production resulted from the fire in their kiln burning for longer and at a higher temperature than normal, really roasting the peat. This has made the whisky richer, with layers of chocolate and coffee mingling with the smoky peat, making an unforgettable whisky.
