Sue Pryke is a potter whose sense of style and proportion has been utilised by major brands such as Ikea, Sainsbury's and Hornsea for the development of their commercial ranges. Her spare style is also used across her own ranges including these low vases. These vases remind me of curling stones. If you are just using them with one singular stem you might need to cut that stem quite short in order for it to sit upright in the vase, or you could take advantage of this property that the vase has and place a small branch of catkins or opening horse chestnut leaves in the vase and enjoy the way it hangs to one side of the vase.
