Nikwax Tech Wash is suitable for washing all membrane and softshell clothing and gear. It gently cleans and enhances the fabrics water repellency and breathability. A 300 ml bottle is enough to wash 23 jackets or pants twice. The manufacturer especially recommends Tech Wash for Gore-Tex, SympaTex, Permatex, and eVent. Excellent also for DrymaxX products! The tiny pores in membrane clothing that make it breathable gradually clog over time due to skin secretions and other dirt, and washing restores the materials properties. Most regular detergents are unnecessarily harsh for shell garments, whose technical fibers do not absorb dirt the same way as cotton. Tech Wash is gentle yet more than powerful enough.
