The small rectangular Oiva dish is made of white stoneware and presents the ISO UNIKKO pattern. The plate is washable in the dishwasher, oven, microwave and freezer. This product celebrates the 60th anniversary of the UNIKKO model and presents the anniversary stamp on the bottom. Unikko was created by Maija Isola in 1964 and has since become an international printing icon of the press. The founder of Marimekko, Ratia weapons, believed that it was not possible to faithfully capture the true essence of real flowers in the press, which is why the floral prints had previously been excluded from the Marimekko collections. So, Maija Isola designed UNIKKO because it was an abstraction of a flower rather than a photorealistic surrender. Today Unikko is a powerful emblem of joy and creativity, perfectly integrated into the design identity of Marimekko.
