The Ultimaker Bowden Tube S5 is the filament tube through which the material is conveyed. We recommend that you replace the Bowden tube regularly. The wear and tear will vary depending on printer use. It is usually sufficient to replace the tubes once a year. However, if you use abrasive materials (such as fibreglass or carbon fibre materials), the Bowden tube can wear out much faster. In such cases, quarterly replacement may be necessary.
