Pyracantha ‘Orange Glow’, commonly known as Firethorn, is a tough, resilient and easy-to-grow shrub which will thrive in virtually any garden. Grown mainly for its bright display of fiery orange berries which provide wonderful autumn colour to the garden, although this evergreen hardy shrub brings colour and structure to the garden all year-round with its glossy green leaves and then the extra addition of bee-friendly white flower clusters in spring. Pyracantha is a thorny shrub and virtually impenetrable, making it effective for use as a security hedge, although it also works really well as a wall trained shrub against the house or as a free-standing tall shrub in any area of the garden.
