Some of them have many variants that can be adapted to different research objectives or to different types of equipment. There is no doubt that this first attempt at a collection of methods will have to be improved and completed later on, since Pedology is a science in full evolution, calling for more and more sophisticated techniques. The plan of this handbook has been determined by the different successive stages of the study of a soil.This manual is written in three chapters.
