As with the engine mounts, the factory fitted items were designed with reducing Noise Vibration and Harshness as a primary consideration.While this is fine for a stock car being driven sedately as soon as you start tuning or remapping the engine and trying to use that extra performance you will notice that the factory mounts have a lot of give in them.This flex soaks up torque from the engine, reduces traction, can make for slightly mushy gear changes and even affect braking and cornering feel.If you're upgrading any of these mounts we'd probably recommend upgrading the whole set at the same time as having stiffer aftermarket mounts and weaker factory mounts may well cause the weaker mounts to wear more quickly and may actually worsen flex.
