Quinta do Portal is a boutique Portuguese winery, now in its fourth generation of family ownership. Up in the steep slopes of the Douro Valley, Paulo Coutinho manages plots worked by the family since 1881. Hes been head winemaker here since 1994and its safe to say hes perfected his craft. Utilising a range of planting techniques depending on the gradient of the slopes, he ensures only the finest Touriga Franca, Tinta Roiz and Tinta Barroca grapes are handpicked for this blend.
