A delightful collection of short stories, illustrated by Frank Rogers, and further enlivened by dialogue, CAPITALS, songs etc. Yellow cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering and an image of the horse-drawn caravan, neatly boxed. Considerable wear, especially top and bottom of the spine, where there is also some fading. Covers are cracking away from the pages, though netting and strapping remain in situ; the pages seem reasonably secure stitched; endpapers slightly soiled, with the pencil name of young owner; there is a little foxing here and there, but many pages are completely clear of it. P 109 has a tear out of the page.
