Georgette is part of the crepe family with a wonderful surface texture. It is semi sheer, soft and airy with a beautiful fluid drape and matt finish. It is the perfect choice for sewing tops and blouses, sheer jackets and robes. If you chose to line it or wear a slip underneath, this fabric would also make beautiful skirts and dresses. At 110 grams per square metre, this fabric is classed as a light to medium weight. We recommend sewing this fabric with a new very fine universal needle for best results.
