The Abstract Leaf coffee table features a silver top and legs, creating the impression of a cohesive piece of furniture. The metal gives the table a different presence to that of wood or fabric and adds a cool accent to the living room setting. This material effect can be deliberately emphasised, particularly when set amongst fabric-upholstered furniture. The low height of 31 cm positions Abstract Leaf close to the floor and below the backs of most sofas. Books, a bowl or a single vessel can be placed on the shelf without completely obscuring the rounded silhouette. Silver can be used to create a sharper contrast against dark colours or, in a light-coloured interior, to blend in as a subtle metallic tone.
