The Syksy wine glass is made of mouth blown glass. This product is packaged in the box with a Marimekko logo motif. The Syksy (autumn) glass series, designed by Matti Klenell, continues with the exploration of nature and family meteorological phenomena to the art of Marimekko's press. The general theme of the new series are the shapes of the autumn rain, from a slight drizzle to strong frauds. A sophisticated, shaded and palpable sensation of the rain has been captured in glass products as an organic surface structure, similar to a relief, applied on the surface in a sketched way typical of the designer. Marimekko glass articles are blowed by mouth in a mold. Being handmade, they can contain occasional air bubbles and other small signs of craftsmanship. A slight variation among the products is natural.
