Antique red hardcover book, Macaria, by Augusta J Evans Wilson. Beautifully decorated with floral print and title display in gold embellishment. Shows signs of wear, foxing and sun fade on the spine. It also has a split in the rear binding so please see photo before purchase. Originally published in 1864 during the American Civil War, this later version is believed to be late 1890's early 1900's. Inside the cover is a personal message showcasing a sister's gift which adds charm.
