The highly renowned Lyrarakis family has been making wines in Crete since 1966, with roots going back to ancient Cretan wine making traditions. Their vineyards in Heraklion, located at over 500 metres altitude, benefit from the perfect terroir for Assyrtiko and Vidiano grapes. Winemaker Myriam Ambuzer has been with Lyrarakis for over 20 years bringing her expertise from Spain to crafting this wine. Grapes are macerated for seven days, and post-fermentation, the wine spends five months in concrete tanks to develop its complex flavours.
