Mine is not a journey on a path of despair, nor are the pages strewn with hopeless devastation. My story overflows with faith in God, undying courage, and God's grace to push through struggles, even with joy. Ours wasn't a journey that exempted us from suffering; on the contrary, God and the support of friends taught us how to thrive in the midst of it. Hospitalization and cancer were such a big part of our lives that we had to triumph over these with God's help to enjoy full lives.
