LED pendant light Chouchin 2 from the Foscarini MyLight edition, controlled via Bluetooth An elongated, elegantly green lacquered lampshade forms the core of the elegant Chouchin 2 LED pendant luminaire. This shape with the small lower ring in white is reminiscent of traditional Japanese lanterns, or Chōchin for short. These mostly colourful lanterns can still be found today in Japan in large numbers at houses, in front of restaurants or are bought as souvenirs. Designer Ionna Vautrin used the lanterns as a source of inspiration when designing the Chouchin lamp series for Foscarini. The result is three models that differ in shape and colour and are designed in such a way that they form a special harmony on their own but especially together in the mix of shapes. Therefore, joint installations of the various Chouchin luminaires are not uncommon and are preferably used in bars, restaurants or cafés.
