Unfortunately, children and teenagers deal with a lot of insecurities and sadness internally and cover it with a smile externally. I know this because I did the same. Fortunately, God placed special people in my life who constantly reminded me that I am much more than what the world thinks of me. A constant voice in my head was my Pastor, Sherwin Lawrence. I used to feel like I was alone in the world and everyone around me (excluding my family) only had negative things to say about me. Pastor Lawrence always said " The top gets lonely, but the view is beautiful". You would assume he knew how I was genuinely feeling, but to him he was probably only saying words. This served as a constant reminder that God made no mistakes with me. I want everyone to know, You are perfect in your own
