He walks passed rows of garden peas, where some of the peas have burst out of their pea pods and fallen to the ground. The peas are performing circus balancing acts. Dulk is amazed at their tricks. He notices that several of his vegetables have grown into very large plants. Whilst investigating the large celery crop, he encounters a very frightening experience, with an unidentified large garden animal. After this frightening experience with the garden animal, Dulk makes the animal his friend. The animal helps carry Dulk back to his garden lawn where, to his surprise, are several other colourful and enlarged garden creatures waiting for him.
