The Draper Knipex is a professional quality test to 10 kV and insulated to 1 kV AC and 1.5 kV DC for live line working. It is made of chrome vanadium heavy duty steel that has been oil hardened and tempered For cutting piano and medium-hard wires, smooth-ground heads with separately induction-hardened cutting edges are used. The cutter has a double-supported axis that allows it to cut with 40% less effort than comparable high-leverage cutters, as well as heavy-duty moulded handles with slip guards for added comfort and safety.
