Adirondack Double...   Please note: this set includes 2 x Adirondack Chairs and 1 x Richmond Side Table Little did Thomas Lee know when, in 1903, he designed what he intended to be,the perfect outdoor chair,for him and his family at their Summer Home overlooking the Adirondack Mountains what a sought-after design it would become. He made the prototype from 11 pieces of timber cut from a single piece of wood, which caught the attention of his carpenter friend and hunting partner, Harry Bunnell. It isnt confirmed, but the presumption is that Bunnell patented Lees design, called it The Westport Chair and sold it for his own commercial gain. We presume the hunting trips stopped pretty soon after that.
