Domaine Roy's Bougros Grand Cru reflects over 200 years of family winemaking tradition. The Roy family began their journey in 1810 in the village of Fontenay-pres-Chablis, with Pierre Roy at the helm. Today, the estate is managed by Claude Roy, his daughter Karine and nephew David, who farm 20 hectares of vines. The Bougros vineyard is part of the Chablis Grand Cru appellation, known for its Kimmeridgian soil rich in fossilised remains. This unique terroir, combined with the vineyards southwest-facing slopes and clay-rich soil, gives the wine its rounded, approachable character. With hints of ripe fruits and a touch of honey, this full-bodied wine becomes increasingly aromatic as it matures. It pairs beautifully with scallops, duck breast or goats cheese, enhancing its rich, mineral-driven flavours. Perfect for enjoying now, but will continue to age well for another 10-15 years.
