In our case it was easyturn to Domaine André Figeat, a pro in the central Loire Valley, where terroir gives wines their hallmark gunflint character. One of the oldest families in the area, the Figeats have many years of tradition behind them but also employ modern winemaking methods to ensure they get the finest results possible. The next generation, Anne-Sophie, is being prepped to take over from her father André and has largely crafted this complex and rich wine showcasing grapefruit, confit lemon, stone fruit and smoke notes.
