The Starter Heat Shield from Cool-It is designed to combat the ever increasing problem of heat from powerful high temperature engines and engine bays damaging the starter motor windings and solenoids. Their design uses a non-conductive strap on heat shield with a highly reflective mylar surface. The Starter Heat Shield is a universal kit that will fit most starters, and will reflect up to 90 percent of radiant heat, drastically prolonging the life of the starter motor and ensuring reliable starts.
