A popular variety which has earned an RHS AGM; Berberis thunbergii f. atropurpurea 'Rose Glow' produces purple leaves which are marbled with pink and white when young. A small amount of yellow flowers are produced in spring which are followed by red berries in autumn. This compact Japanese Barberry has elegant arching branches and makes a fantastic specimen shrub, or alternatively grow it as a small, colourful hedge. As with most deciduous Berberis, the leaves of this variety transform to vibrant shades of crimson in autumn. Height and spread: 150cm (59).
