The book is divided into 11 Chapters which are entitled Recollections and each chapter contains many sub-headings. 256 pp. Reminiscences of the old-fashioned kind rather than a strict biography of this Royal Academician who was part of a lively artistic circle known as the St. John's Wood Clique. He is best known for his narrative painting of 1878 'When did you last See your Father' which was typical in content and style of his work.
