A Kitchen Goes To War, A Ration-Time Cookery Book with 150 Recipes Contributed By Famous People This delightful and very rare book has been well maintained. All pages are present but suffering from marks, creasing and other signs of wear often associated with a book of 80 plus years. The first owners signature is on the top of the front cover, see photo. This is a First edition, first printing 1940. Two recipes from Agatha Christie, 'Mystery Potatoes' and 'Omelet Agatha Christie' are amongst the 150 provided by notable people of the time. Other contributors include Arthur Askey, Wimbledon finalist Henry "Bunny" Austin, world speed record holder Sir Malcolm Campbell, author Stella Gibbons and the actor Sir John Gielgud.
