Without the rapid customer service, construction vehicles had no chance on the construction sites of the post-war decades. With the VW T1 (type 2) Liebherr ensured that technicians were on site quickly with tools and spare parts. It was the time when the VW Bulli gained the appreciation that was valid until today. In fact, the first model prototype in Wolfsburg was ready for operation as early as 1949it was supposed to mean a consistent van version as a further development of the VW Beetle "Type 1". After only 51 weeks of development, the new van was presented to journalists on November 12, 1949, and series production began on March 8, 1950 at the Wolfsburg plant. Wiking consciously lets the design idiom of the legendary model construction master Alfred Kedzierski speak during the realizationhistoric original samples and documents from the Wiking archive make it possible. The contemporary Liebherr appearance fits seamlessly into this time.Body upper and lower part, rapeseed yello
