This means that the cotton has been combed so that only the long, strong fibres remain - a prerequisite for creating sateen of the finest quality. Iron your sateen bed linen while the fabric is still slightly damp. This presses the fibres down, which highlights and preserves the fabric's beautiful shine and makes it more durable.
