Framo or rather Barkas??? In the years 1954-1961 the van Barkas V901/2 was produced in the VEB Barkas works Karl-Marx-Stadt (until 1956 Framo in Hainichen). Due to its origin, it was therefore more frequently named as Framo V901/2 and since 1956 also called it. While maintaining the technology, the three-quarter-tone Framo V901 of the former GDR vehicle construction in 1954 was externally redesigned and further developed to the V901/2 type.Like its predecessor, the popular van was available in various versions, such as box van, semi-bus, bus, pallet truck and with special structures for police, post office and various trade organizations.
