The Fluval Phosphate Remover cartridge is for use with the Fluval external filters G Series and will rapidly remove increased phosphate concentrations from marine or fresh water aqauriums. In a freshwater aquarium with an excess concentration of 1-2 mg/l phosphate concentration, the use of the Fluval Phosphate remover cartridge will remove all the excess of phosphate within 1 or 2 days. If left in the filter it will sustain a low phosphate level for a period of time that is strictly dependent on the type of aquarium (quantity and type of fish, type of fish food and so on). Phosphate is bound and will not leach back into aquarium water. The continuous use of the Fluval Phosphate remover cartridge in aqauriums with persistant phosphate problems is an effective solution against phosphate build up.
