The original Långe jan which is a very popular product to make the lamp hang EXACTLY where you want it without making new boreholes / roof sockets in the ceiling. It can also be practical if you e.g. has fold-out tables and wants to be able to adapt the lighting. The round part on Långe Jan is easily mounted on the existing roof boiler, hides a standard socket with hook. Then hang the lamp on the pole and pull it out to the length you want.
