This is achieved by a special silencer and by a controllable water outlet at the bottom of the housing. This unit will effectively remove organic substances from your aquarium water.The skimmer with venturi pump has to be placed in a separate filter tank. The water is pumped to the skimmer by the venturi pump. The pump draws water from the filter tank and mixes it with air. Within the pump housing, the bubbles are cut into very fine pieces by the Aqua Medic Power Wheel. The air/water mixture is pumped back into the skimmer.
