No need to dry item(s) before waterproofing. Note! The TX.Direct Wash-In is not recommended for garments with a wicking liner. For such apparel, please choose the separate Tech Wash and TX Direct Spray, and only apply the spray on the outside.   Using the TX.Direct Wash-In does not damage your garment in any means, but it may reduce its moisture wicking properties until wear and washes wear the impregnation away. Water soluble impregnant that washes into polycotton/cotton/canvas fabric. The impregnation can also be diluted with water and sprayed or brushed onto the fabric, even if the fabric is damp. Due to its water solubility, the fabric is more fire-resistant after processing compared to solvent-based materials. Before processing, it is recommended to wash the product with Tech Wash. A 1 l bottle is enough to saturate a family tent or a large amount of clothes.  Note! Cotton, polycotton, etc. are not waterproof materials by themselves, and this treatment can only increase their water *repellency*full waterproofing in prolonged rain will not be achieved. Nikwax Softshell-Proof is an easy-to-use, water-based treatment that improves the water repellency of softshell garments while maintaining their breathability.  Softshell-Proof is recommended for:  - Gore Windstopper - Windbloc - Schoeller - Polartec - Package size: 300 ml, enough to treat three garments.  Nikwax Softshell-Proof Washing Instructions  - First remove any parts that cannot be washed. - Clean the garment separately before treatment. The garment does not need to be dried before waterproofing. Be sure to follow the garments own washing instructions, for example regarding temperature. - Shake well before use.
