Beautifully shaped LED pendant lamp Beat Stout made of sheet brass Made from solid sheet brass, Beat series lights can be found in homes, restaurants and hotels around the world. They feature an expressive minimalism, with the original design inspired by the sculptural simplicity of traditional Indian water containers. In 2004, Tom Dixon was involved in an initiative in the city of Jaipur to create alternative opportunities for the dwindling artisans and their skills there. It was here that Project Beat was born. Master craftsmen from Moradabad in northern India make the Beat series lampshades, which are created using traditional brass work. The inside of each lamp bears the mark of the craftsman who created the shade. Spun brass, braised and beaten by hand - this production makes each piece unique.
