"Alien" is an apt name for the unusual shape design of this luminaire. Like an alien-like creature, the luminaire body seems to curl upward from the ground. The Munich designer Constantin Wortmann, who is responsible for the designs for the Alien luminaire series, has already been working for many years for next, a luminaire manufacturer from Cologne. Before designing luminaires for the Cologne-based company, he had already worked for Ingo Maurer, one of Germany's best-known luminaire designers. The designer lamps from next are manufactured in Germany.
