Founded in 1840 by Nicola Introna, who saw a demand for clean-burning, high quality wax candles in the deeply religious region of Puglia, in the southeastern corner of Italy. As demand for votive and worship candles wained in the late 20th century, Cereria Introna adopted new manufacturing methods and began producing more elaborateartisticcandles.
