In order to clean the aquarium water the JBL CristalProfi m Mat Filters are submerged completely in water. A maintenance-free pump built into the filter head ensures permanent water circulation. Before being pumped back into the aquarium, the aquarium water flows over the whole expanse and slowly through the FilterPad, where it gets cleaned.
