Atop the tongue, ‘Dear Mike’ is inscribed on the Jumpman-branded tag, while the left insole features a graphic that reads ‘Swing for the Fences.’ Underfoot, the white rubber outsole is marked with ‘45/2’ as a nod to Jordan’s jersey number. The athlete chose 23 because he believed if he was half as good as Larry, who wore 45, he’d be on the road to success.
