Agip stands for the gas station network of the Italian mineral oil and energy company Eni, which has been active since the 1960s mainly in southern Germany. The company was founded in 1926 and integrated into the newly founded Eni in 1953. Eni Deutschland GmbH is now a 100% subsidiary of Eni and one of the major oil companies in Germany.
