This Hji-cha was farmed and made by Yamaguchi Tea in the Satsuma region of Kagoshima. Hji-cha is roasted green tea that is naturally low in caffeine. Brown in the cup and with a slightly nutty taste, it is fragrant and refreshing. It can be brewed hot at 100 degrees, or cold brewed in the fridge. It is an excellent option when not wishing to be caffeinated, or the makers suggest, as a mixer with the Kagoshiman spirit of shochu.
