The Teddy Bear figure has been developed and hand sculpted by Thomas Sandell, then produced by Skultuna. Thomas Sandell was born in 1959 in Jakobstad in Finland and grew up in Skellefteå in Sweden. He was educated at KTH, the Royal Institute of Technology, and graduated in architecture in 1990. Through his own architectural firm, he has worked with a broad variety of national and international clients, brands and producers and developed individual products as well as entire urban landscapes. In Thomas Sandell's design, his desire and curiosity are constant driving forces, and his strong sense of form combined with high craftsmanship and a thoroughly executed idea have become his hallmark. His contrasting designs have won him many awards.
