The Infinity Alpine jacket is developed from the super-popular Infinity jacket. Lighter and with a slightly snugger fit than the original model, the Alpine is a great choice when you need more warmth than a lightweight down jacket provides, but still need to keep the overall weight in check. Like the Infinity, this jacket is primarily designed for climbing and ski touring trips. The jacket uses two different strengths of Gore Industries' Infinium fabric. This completely windproof material is a good choice when you need wind protection combined with breathability. The use of two fabrics provides durability where needed and freedom of movement elsewhere. The internal seam structure of the down sections directs water away from your body if conditions become truly demanding. The outer fabrics repel some water, but the seams are not taped.
