This is a a "2.5" layer product: the surface fabric has a wateproof membrane, which again has a super light, printed liner material texture for superbly light overall weight and small packing size. We recommend using a long sleeve base or mid layer top to be worn underneath. A light jacket like this is at its best in general outdoor use, hiking and sports when not carrying a heavy backpack.
