Lips, 2022 by Imogen Morris. Artists note:As a portraiture artist I am fascinated by facial featureswhen zoomed in on a facial feature, what can that feature tell you about the person it belongs to? Their emotions or character? In recent works I have moved away from depicting full faces and instead I focus on specific facial features, mainly lips and eyes, as I believe these two features tell you the most about the person in which they inhabit. I have created the lips themselves out of nail and thread, using white, grey and black thread to create depth.
