A stunning hand stitched piece of cloth from the Yoruba people of west Africa. The Oko meanstop clothmeaning cloth of high status. The fabric is also used to make mens gowns called agbada and hats called Fila and womens wraps called iro. NB: TO CLEAN- a very gentle HAND washing (NEVER MACHINE, on any setting) in cool water with a very gentle detergent works, but even then, dyes may not be colourfast.
