The York Barbell Black Oxide International Weight Bars are finished with a black oxide coating making them strikingly attractive. The distinct black oxide bars have an aggressive grip and as good to use a traditional bare steel bar. Each bar is manufactured in our Canadian factory from North American Steel. It is less flexible, more rigid, and excellent for use when performing static, highly controlled, slow movements such as the squats, chest press, and deadlifts. It is also an excellent weight bar for Olympic lift training. The sleeve is secured on the bar using a bar end nut and spring pin. Sleeves are machined to a precise 1.975” diameter to accommodate 2” Olympic Plates.
