Linnell was one of London's largest cabinet-making firms of the 18th century with many important and prominent patrons. It was created in 1730 by William Linnell and then inherited by his son John Linnell. Two volumes in blue cloth boards with gilt lettering with blue cloth slipcase also with gilt lettering . The second volume contains illustrations of their work and so would be a useful reference source. Slipcase and spines of books have noticeable fading.
